Early Digital works 1999-2004

The early digital series were in many ways a continuation of hand work with b/w photography. At first, we continued using the same techniques: bleaching, darkening, coloring scanned b/w images, and collaging. With the acquisition of a digital camera in 2003, we continued for some time converting color images into b/w, but starting with the Sport in the USSR series, we finally switched to working with color images. Our methods of work were also gradually expanded. It was a wonderful period of mastering the new possibilities of digital technologies.
